Q. Would Objectives Reached take on any project or is it specialising?
A. We would only bid for work that uses our core skills. Therefore most Projects will include Training, Personal or Businesses Development, Sales Marketing or Design.
Equally with Sales Projects, the expectations have to be realistic and commitment of the company has to real. If pre-project work is required to create the right environment, then we would quote for that. However, it is likely that in many cases in the first instant we are contacted because there are issues, so in each and every case a judgment has to be made. This judgment has to take in account the company’s ability to pay for services along with usual assessments that you make every time you sell your services.
Q. If I worked with Objectives Reached would it restrict the work I could bid for?
A. Only in the following two cases:
1) Where you are part of the Objectives Reached bidding team.
2) Where you worked on a successful bid as part of Objectives Reached Team and even here you could request the right to bid, which would normally be granted unless we were bidding.
Working as an individual but being part of a Team
Email us for details of for potential Associate
Objectives Reached was formed to allow professional and small companies to work together when bidding for contracts. With contracts getting ever more diverse and complex, individuals are finding it hard to bid alone. Also, when they do win a contract, they are often handling tasks outside their true expertise.
In the area of Sales, Marketing, Design and PR, it is common to be bidding against an agency who will list their team’s achievements and use extensive portfolios. By working together we can normal rates including a fee to cover the time and expense of the Associate managing the Project.
Associates in the Team have the added advantage of networking and access to training and development that they might be missing from the days when they were in employment.
Below we have example at non SME types of Projects being advertised where the Team approach could bring benefits for everyone.
EXAMPLE PROJECT ONE
DAO (DisabilityArtsOnline) provides a successful national service to the disability arts sector, with a growing online audience. DAO has recently been awarded funding from the Arts Council England for organisational development, including a drive to raise the profile of professional disabled artists in the mainstream and many other initiatives.
DAO is looking for a dynamic Marketing and Fundraising Manager to:
* Liaise with funders, including via written reports.
* Create a Annual Report for publishing online.
* Write a new Business Plan alongside Business Manager.
* Identify appropriate funding opportunities and submit applications.
* Use data analysis to explore opportunities for sponsorship.
* Identify alternative income sources and funding opportunities from online sources.
Objectives Reached’s comment
With this being a 30 working day project, the consultant cannot spend much time creating the on-line Annual Report. If the data was collected and the style agreed, an experienced copywriter might finish it in 2 days with corrections and a designer with suitable templates might create it in 3. If the Lead Consultant had the Funding background they could do everything else, however, the research into Trust and Funders is again time consuming and it would be more economic to employ an experienced researcher in the field.
At Objectives Reached, we feel that with a short clear written Objective Paper, the Team approach will produce a greater response and more detailed proposals.
